1. Tool import and export analysis
In 2023, the export value of tools was 23.365 billion yuan, an increase of 0.77% compared with 2022, and the import value was 8.758 billion yuan, a decrease of 10.01% compared with 2022.
In terms of the main varieties and amount of tool exports in 2023, the following varieties have larger exports: Drill (8.067 billion yuan), circular saw blade (4.226 billion yuan), blade (2.795 billion yuan), interchange tool (2.436 billion yuan), milling cutter (2.002 billion yuan), tapping tool (1.099 billion yuan), super hard hole machining tool (617 million yuan), super hard interchange tool (551 million yuan), bimetal band saw blade (535 million yuan) Yuan).
The tool varieties with a larger export growth rate are: coated blades increased by 39.87%, bimetallic band saw blades increased by 19.49%, and tapping tools increased by 12.70%.

In terms of tool imports, the main varieties and amounts imported in 2023 are: blades (3.908 billion yuan), milling cutters (1.046 billion yuan), drills (1.041 billion yuan), tapping tools (904 million yuan), exchange tools (425 million yuan), boring reamer (234 million yuan), superhard exchange tools (234 million yuan).

In 2023, the import value of cemented carbide blades is 3.724 billion yuan, and the export value is 2.559 billion yuan, and the ratio of import and export blades is further reduced. The export value of non-coated carbide blades increased by 8.74% year-on-year, and the import value decreased by 17.19% year-on-year.
The main sources of imports of coated blades are Japan, Germany, Sweden, Israel, the United States, South Korea, India. Non-coated blades are mainly imported from Japan, Germany, South Korea, Israel, Thailand, the United States, Luxembourg.
The main export destinations of coated blades are Russia, Germany, India, the United States, Turkey, South Korea, Singapore and so on. Non-coated blade export destinations are mainly Russia, India, the United States, Japan, Germany, Singapore, Mexico and so on.
In terms of the unit price of tools import and export, compared with the same commodity code products, the price of imported tools is much higher than the export price, for example: the average import price of coated blades is about 2.83 times the average export price, uncoated blades are 4.70 times, tapping tools are 7.72 times, and milling cutters are 2.12 times.
2. Import and export analysis of measuring tools and measuring instruments
In 2023, the export value of measuring tools and measuring instruments was 1.954 billion yuan, an increase of 20.67%. Among them, the exports of measuring tools (micrometers, calipers and gauges) increased by 13.97% year-on-year; The export value of measuring instruments (coordinate measuring instruments, profile projectors) increased by 45.82% year-on-year.
In 2023, the import of measuring tools and measuring instruments was 1.499 billion yuan, an increase of 13.38%. Among them, the import of measuring tools was 365 million yuan, an increase of 16.73%, and the import of measuring instruments was 1.133 billion yuan, an increase of 12.34%.
In terms of the import and export unit price of measuring tools and measuring instruments, compared with the same commodity code products, the price of imported measuring tools and measuring instruments is much higher than the export price.
The export volume of measuring tools (1.457 billion yuan) was much higher than the import volume (365 million yuan), and the export volume of measuring instruments (497 million yuan) was much smaller than the import volume (1.133 billion yuan), and the import and export volume of measuring tools and measuring instruments increased significantly.
